Greetings, everyone! Welcome to Sabbath services! Today is the first day of the month of Nisan according to the Calculated Hebrew Calendar. Yesterday was the atheist's day: Fools Day: The fool has said in his heart there is no God! There are a lot of things happening. So, I'll just give you a quick review of some messages I'll cover in the future:

Articles:

World Governments Summit is Underway this Week in Abu Dhabi https://leohohmann.com/2022/03/31/bombshell-video-economist-at-world-government-summit-says-new-financial-world-order-about-to-shift-in-dramatic-new-direction/

That's pretty close to where the Chrislam buildings which are going to be initiated anytime. They are planning to give everyone a number and a mark. They will be able to keep track of everything that you do; where you go, who your friends are, etc.

Talk about the Bible being up to date. Over 2,000 years ago this was prophesied (Rev. 13). All the way down through history I imagine there were a lot of people reading that and saying that can't happen!

Well not everything is done in you lifetime. Just like one of the prophecies concerning tares. The Parable of the Tares: they're sown in among the wheat. That's been going on and on, always has been there. It says that the tares are bundled up to be thrown into the fire, which tells us that when their spirit returns to God it goes to a place that's designated to be burned.

It's quite something what they have and they're all excited about it. Along with that:

Now Fully Complete, Human Genome Reveals New Secrets by Robert Sanders, March 31, 2022
https://news.berkeley.edu/2022/03/31/now-fully-complete-human-genome-reveals-new-secrets/

of how we are built!

They want to use this… guess what they're going to do with this? They think that they have finally got it all mapped out, but they will find out that they don't!

Covid-19 Drove a 29% Increase in U.S. Deaths in January by Allison Bell, March 9, 2022

There may be some, maybe a lot, who get away with taking the shot, but you don't know what's going to happen later; or how far down the road it is until it comes!

Collapse of the Dollar

I've been reading various forms of the collapse of the dollar and there's one man who puts out was is called The Jackass Report ttps://jackassreport.wordpress.com/

They've been predicting this for a long time. But I heard something else that was very interesting. Have you ever heard of the ESF Exchange Stabilization Fund?

Only the Federal Reserve knows what's in there. Why is it that the dollar hasn't collapsed? It should have many times over with the way that we've run the debt and everything! They've been saying that ever since we've had $15-trillion in debt, and now it's double that at $30-trillion!

Whistleblower Exposes Federal Reserve Corruption
https://www.youtube.com › watch?v=DViqT-mW73c

She said just a side comment that people think that the United States has 17,000 tons of gold, and that's probably very incorrect, they probably have three times that amount; so that's 51,000 tons of gold.

Maybe that account is what has kept us from going down. The U.S. collapsed the ruble and everything economically in Russia with the sanctions. So, here's what Putin said: All right, if you want oil, you can pay in your own currency or you can pay in rubles or pay in gold. Guess what happened to the ruble? It went up to the level before the war! So, our 'brilliant' president is still cutting back on oil. He is one of the enemy and is there because this nation has turned its back on God!

All the other activities we have seen going on that I've mentioned here are also part of it! Yesterday was the atheist's day; they are all fools!Doesn't matter how educated  you are, if they don't know God they don't know anything!

They might know their occupation, they might know about science things that they get into to a certain point, but it has been proved many times over and over that when men think with the genome 'we know all about human beings and now we can manipulate all of them'! That's what they want! To control everyone!

So, what's going to happen with the collapse of the dollar? It will come! If you've heard me say, get out of debt! I've said that through the years, and here's the reason why.

When it collapses, I'll give you the example of the ruble in Russia when the Soviet Union collapsed: Everything collapsed and they had to start all over again, and guess what the new exchange rate was compared to the ruble before? It was 3,000 to 1!

So, you have to go the bank and turn in all your old rubles—dollars. I don't know what the exchange rate will be when that happens. It's going to depend on what the price of gold is. But your debt was not reduced, even though the value of your exchange—ruble or dollar—you still have pay the same amount. What happens? Like what happened in Russia, your debts increases realistically 3,000%!

I have another article showing that in one sense it strengthened the dollar, so they're divided and they're back and forth on it.

What One Million COVID Dead Mean for the U.S.'s Futureby Melody Schreiber, March 29, 2022

Is that why Biden is letting so many in? Who knows?

CHINA

You can be sure that there's going to be a food crisis because of the Ukraine War and China has been hoarding food. We'll have to see what happens with China.

If China has a mammoth rain this year like it did two years ago, they're worried that Three River Gorge Dam—the biggest dam in the world—may collapse. It does have cracks in it from what they had with that last rain. There was one hour in time that there was so much rain that it rained the equivalent of the annual rainfall, in one hour!

What does that make you think of? Noah's Flood! What happened there? That was pretty clever of God! He had them build it, He sent all the animals to it, and told Noah to go in and God sealed it up and it didn't rain for seven days. Can you imagine all the hooting and hollering that was going on outside?

Look at this old man! They're in the Ark and it isn't raining! Look at that!

Maybe they had a big party right outside the Ark to celebrate the fact of how stupid Noah was! They were in there seven days, and all of a sudden the heavens opened up and the fountains of the deep were broken loose. There were earthquakes, thunders, lightning and it was coming down so fast!

Remember, God did that. Why? Go to Gen. 6, and we're the same way today. If you don't believe that, just watch the things on television. It's all mixed up upside down and backward.

There are people who are supposedly in the Church of God that are walking away! There are two causes for that:

  • they're not studying and praying

If you don't study and pray, you're going to find everything swishing by you!

  • those who were the teachers were not and are not teaching them

Jesus said that as in the days of Noah so shall it be in the days of the coming of the Son of man!

Genesis 6:5: "And the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth…"

I don't know if they had technology like we do, but look at all of the things that can come and enter into your mind wherever you are. You can't even drive down the road without some sign up there—a big billboard—trying to sell you something.

"…and every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually" (v 5).

Could not have any good thoughts that would be based on the Word of God. Let's multiply it in the end-time. One thing for us to understand is there is not one single lie in the Bible IF it's properly translated! In the original language there is not one single lie!

Let's take Gen. 6:5 and apply it to 2-Tim 3 and see if this is not true. You can find this on your cell phone, TV, wherever you go. What has it reduced everyone down to? Notice that everyone's imagination was "…only evil continually"! God is not making a blanket judgment on a group just because of a group!

Remember that Abraham was able to bargain God down to when God was going to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah; if there were ten righteous He would have save them and not destroy them. God also works on the individual level.

2-Timothy 3:1: "Know this also, that in the last days perilous times shall come." There are all kinds of perils:

  • weather
  • rood
  • health
  • transportation
  • sickness and disease

Verse 2: "For men will be lovers of self…" What kind of pictures do they take with their cell phones? a selfie! Is the Bible true or no?

He wants all the news going on, what is all the trouble based on? Right here: "…lovers of self…"

That's why we have all the evil, abortion, crime, the inundation of all the illegal immigrants! Most of them are probably going to end up making an army coming against the rest of those of us who are the natural citizens, because the majority of them are young unmarried men 18 and up! What is that going lead to? We don't know!

"…lovers of money…" (v 2)—don't care about anybody else!

What's the whole drug thing based upon? Lover of pleasure! Lover of money!

"…braggarts, proud, blasphemers…" (v 2)—that begins in the pulpit!

They take the Bible—the Holy Word of God—and they pick out the nice little verses that they like! If they talk about prophecy they say to 'come back and tune into TBN to the program next week and I'll tell you all about the rapture'! Lover of self!

We're so good that God is going to save us from the Tribulation!

They don't have a clue what's going to happen!

"…disobedient to parents…" (v 2)—and you can say parents dishonoring themselves by not taking care of their children!

"…unthankful, unholy, without natural affection…" (vs 2-3).

Oh yes, let's change your gender! We'll have the School Board do it because they can do it without the consent of your parents.

Little Jane, would you like to be little Jimmy instead? We'll be happy to give you some shots, but you don't have to tell your mommy or daddy, and we'll start you out in kindergarten!

Remember what I said, 'Walt Disney is wholly owned by Satan!' That's what they promote. Understand that Satan always comes with a benefit! 'I will give you a benefit.' Didn't he say that to Jesus when He was tempted? Satan said:

If you bow down and worship me, I'll give You the whole world and all the kingdoms of it, because it's been given to me and I give it to whom every I will.

  • What do you think is going on in these globalist meetings that they're having?
  • Who is sponsoring that? None other than Satan the devil!

"…implacable… [can't change their minds] …slanderers, without self-control…" (v 3).

They have to have everything they want, even to the point of killing other people. Doesn't make any difference, 'I want mine and I want mine now!'

"…savage…" (v 3). Have you watched the ad for the new kind of boxing? You don't just box with gloves and hands, you use your feet, elbows, knees—savage!

"…despisers of those who are good" (v 3). 'Oh ho, ho! You believe in God? How stupid can you be?' Isn't that the way they view it? They always challenged God! He's going to answer that big time one day!

Verse 4: "Betrayers, reckless, egotistical, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God." Right now while I'm speaking:

  • How many different kinds of athletic games are going on?
  • How many are playing golf?
  • How many are going to a game park and so forth?
  • How many are out doing their own pleasure?
  • How many are assembled on the Sabbath to study and worship God and serve Him?

Jesus asked: 'When the Son of man comes, will He find the faith, the true faith, on the earth?' Look at all the people that you used to go to church with! Where are they?

Verse 5: "Having an outward appearance of Godliness, but denying the power of true Godliness. But as for you, turn away from all these. For from men such as these come those who are worming their way into houses, and are gaining control over empty-headed gullible women given over to various sins, being driven by all kinds of lust. They are always learning… [oh yes, we're smart and intelligent] …but are never able to come to the knowledge of the Truth" (vs 5-7).

Why? Because the Truth of God only comes from your willingness to obey what God says! He made it simple. Remember the basic thing: obey My voice! That's pretty simple, and God made it simple for everyone, He sent His Word! The generation that we have today has it all, the whole Word of God! How do they treat it?

The Cell Phone vs The Bible
https://tonycooke.org/stories-and-illustrations/cell-phone-bible/

Ever wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell phone?

Everyone here has a cell phone but me! Everybody has been trying to get me to get a cell phone, and I keep telling them I don't want a cell phone. Furthermore, if you have a cell phone be careful that you don't have a cell phone neck! You better do some exercises to straighten up your head!

What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?

Yes, everybody here in this room lifted up and showed me that they have a cell phone. Be careful putting it over your heart.

What if we flipped through it [the Bible] several time a day?

You can put it on your cell phone and you can flip through it several times a day. So, we've given you cause to use your cell phone properly by having the Bible on it. How many times a day do we flip through and use our cell phones?

What if we turned back to go get it [the Bible] if we forgot it?

You don't have to worry anymore, you've got it right there, The Faithful Version! {afaithfulversion.org}

What if we used it [the Bible] to receive messages from the text?

Of the Bible, instead of just sending text messages!

What if we treated it [the Bible]like we couldn't live without it?

  • How many put their cell phones right next to their bed?
  • What if we gave God's Text as a gift instead of giving a cell phone by which one can text?

What if we gave it [the Bible] to kids as gifts?
What if we used it [the Bible] when we traveled?

You can't even by a map anymore, a paper map. I remember going into a service station and said I would like to buy a map and he said, 'They don't make them anymore.' Why? Well you can download it on your phone!

Many of you have traveled extensively as well and most of the time there's a Gideon Bible in the motel room. And now they've also added the Koran. We must be politically correct! The greatest sin of all in the political and legal sphere is you can't discriminate! Why is that a sin? Because if you can't discriminate between right/wrong and good/evil you create the world that we have today!

  • What if we used the Bible like we use GPS applications on our cell phones to get directions? Yes!
  • How do find out what sin is?

What if we used it [the Bible] in case of emergency?

What if we used our Bibles as a tool of communication from our Heavenly Father as we use our cell phones in communication with our physical fathers or any relatives or friends? That can be true if you download The Faithful Version on your cell phone, God can get a communication to you! But you have turn to it and use it, and do it. These are what if questions!

This is something to make you go….hmm…where is my Bible? Oh, and one more thing. Unlike our cell phone, we don't have to worry about our Bible being disconnected because Jesus already paid the bill.

Makes you stop and think 'where are my priorities?' And no dropped calls!
—Author Unknown

What we used to hear today and what we just read in these cute little few verses regarding the cell phone and the Bible, remember that these are the lessons to remember during these days of Unleavened Bread.

Let's talk about the Passover that's coming up. Let ask ourselves:

  • Why are we here?
  • Where are we going?
  • Why do we keep the Passover?

There are going to be a lot of false prophets, just like Jesus said, who are going to give signs and wonders preaching in the name of Jesus to deceive the elect!

So, if you're not studying and praying every day with everything that God has given us in this generation, what will you tell God as to why you didn't take advantage of it?

Titus 1:1: "Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's elect…"—selected!

That means that God has selected you and all the brethren that have been from the time of Christ down to now.

"…and the knowledge of the Truth… [that's why you hear me say all the time, the Truth, the Truth, it's got to be the Truth] …that is according to Godliness; in the hope…" (vs 1-2).

  • Why are we here?
  • Where are we going?
  • What are we doing?

God has given to us the greatest hope that there is; greater than anything that there is in this physical life. Greater than our own physical lives as demonstrated by Christ dying to save all of us and the whole world and the creation of God.

"…of eternal life, which God Who cannot lie…" (v 2).

You can trust His Word! You can read certain parts of it that you don't understand, but that doesn't mean that it isn't true. It just means that certain things are only understood at certain times.

Just like we started out mentioning the mark of the beast and the control of people. Down through the centuries the brethren of God have read that, but how could they understand that something would come about so that no one could buy or sell. Today, we're in a terrible position for that! You have nothing unless you live out in the country and are able to have some crops that you grow, but that takes time. Everything you have you bought!

I was think about that this morning getting ready to come here. Here's the house we live in, everything in it we had to buy to build it. We had to buy the land first in order to build it. Then when we built it, we had to finish it off inside. We had to buy everything that we had to have to finish the inside. In the meantime we had buy all the food that we could eat all during the time and take care of the children growing up. Jonathan and David and I were up on what would be the ceiling of the bottom floor and we were nailing down the floor for the second story. We had the two-inch tongue in groove and we were wailing away nailing it down. That all had to be paid for!

There's nothing that you don't pay for: gas, electricity, water, garbage, etc. Just think if you didn't have garbage service. Think about all the garbage that you make. It's incredible. I surprised myself being alone how much garbage that I produce. It's got to be picked up and taken away, and you have to pay for that. In order to stay in your house you have to pay your taxes, because if you don't, in five years they come and repossess your house. Even though you own it, you really don't own it, because you're a beneficial owner, not a colloidal owner, that is you own it outright and nobody can take it from you. That's the world we live in!

God has given us; v 2: "In the hope of eternal life, which God Who cannot lie promised before the ages of time."

God the Father and Jesus Christ figured out what their play would be long before they ever put it into motion. In reading about the human genome, we have so many billions of parts to our body in the way that we function, in the way that we live and the things that we can do. It's an amazing thing that we can hear, we can see and we can think. Think about producing a little baby. A second is about how long it takes to become pregnant. That's why God has laws concerning that, because he wants the children brought up properly. But He has left it to mother and father. From something you can't see, your mother delivered you into this world at whatever weight you came into, then you had to grow. There's a schedule of growth that God has put in the body of every boy and girl.

Verse 3: "But revealed in its own set time in the proclamation of His Word, with which I was entrusted according to the commandment of God our Savior."

That's quite an introduction. Stop and think about that. I want you to understand that God has called us to the greatest thing possible. Notice some of the last epistles that Paul wrote, so even he himself grew in grace and knowledge and understanding of what God was doing.

2-Timothy 1:9: "Who has saved us and called us with a Holy calling…"

Don't go turn your back on that! I don't care how tough it gets. I don't care what the problems are that you may have, or what the problems you may have with a husband/wife relationship. Or what the problems are with rearing children. You go to God! You go to the Word of God and repent! He'll forgive! He'll open the way! Afterwards will come the peaceable fruits of righteousness! But we can't do it on our own.

"…not according to our works, but according to His own purpose…" (v 9).

Think about that, God's own purpose, each one of us individually! God has a purpose for us!

We can be guaranteed how that fulfillment will be we will only understand if we make it in the resurrection.

"…and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the ages of time; but has now been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, Who has annulled death, and has brought to light eternal life and incorruptibility through the Gospel" (vs 9-10).

One of the reasons why we have the Passover and Feast of Unleavened Bread is:

  • to renew the covenant of eternal life
  • so that we can get sin out of our lives and let God build His righteous character within us

Unleavened Bread teaches us with that God wants the renewing of our mind, and that takes time. That takes reprogramming of your physical brain with His Spirit.

1-Corinthians 2:9: "But according as it is written, 'The eye… [we have two of them] …has not seen… [no one has seen it] …nor the ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.'"

That's the whole thing! You will find out that everything you do will circle back to the foundation of loving God. Everything you do!

God loves us and He is perfect! We need to love God back That's the important thing.

(break@45:56)

This verse you can read over and over and study other parts of the Bible and you will see how God reveals these things step-by-step.

Verse 9: "But according as it is written, 'The eye has not seen, nor the ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man…'"

So great and so far above what we think or do that no man can imagine it. Everybody likes to talk about living forever, but that doesn't give you understanding of God's plan.

"'the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.' But God has revealed them to us by His Spirit…" (vs 9-10).

It must be spiritually revealed and understood! Let's talk a little bit about the Word of God. Jesus said, 'The words that I speak to you are Spirit and they are Life.' The words that are written down carry that same meaning from the words that are written down into our mind as we read them coupled with God's Spirit.

If you don't have God's Spirit, you won't have a clue as to understanding what it's teaching, because God is designed the Bible in such a way that there's a little here and a little there, precept upon precept and line upon line and only those who love Him and keep His commandments will understand. Those who don't, it's going to cause them to stumble and fall (Isa. 28).

"…for the Spirit searches all things—eventhe deep things of God… [we'll see how far we can get into that between now and the end of Unleavened Bread] …For who among men understands the things of man except by the spirit of man, which is in him? In the same way also, the things of God no one understands except by the Spirit of God…." (vs 10-11).

Verse 12: "Now, we have not received the spirit of the world…"

What is the spirit of the world? Eph. 2:1-2, the prince of the power of the air! That spirit that works in the children of disobedience!

That's why someone who picks up the Bible and they know nothing about God—they're really not interested, but they want to look at the Bible to find fault with it—won't understand a thing!

But those who yield to God, those who have the Spirit of God… Think about this: How many really had the Spirit of God down through time? The patriarchs, some of the kings, some of the priests until the coming of Christ.

How much did the apostles really grasp and understanding of what they wrote? We don't know! We have no idea, but look at how late it was, it was the last two Epistles of Paul that he wrote about the things of God before the ages of time.

"…but the Spirit that is of God…" (v 12)—comes from God! Stop and think about this, and this is something we must always remember in everything that we do.

It says in 1-Cor. 4 that we have nothing that we didn't receive! I want you to take that and think about that. Just take one day and you will understand that everything that you have, you see, you touch, you wear, you think, you are, you received! Everything!

Why do people get lifted up in their great vanities? Because they don't know God! There's nothing to get lifted up and vain about, because you have nothing you didn't receive. Be thankful and grateful that God has given it. God is the One Who gives understanding!

The knowledge that we have of the Sabbath, Passover and Holy Day is the greatest foundation of knowledge that any human being can have!

Coupled with God's Spirit, then He reveals His plan to us step-by-step. That's why we have the book: God's Plan for Mankind Revealed by His Sabbath and Holy Days!

This is one of the last books I've written. It wasn't that I wrote it to write it out. It came from messages/sermons over a long period of time that were transcribed. They were recorded and transcribed and put in the book. You need that book, and if you need more than one, we'll send you whatever you need so each person can have their own copy. That was put together after—I was ordained in 1965—57 years!

You don't take something like that and start it the day after you're baptized. It doesn't work that way. Down through time there are things in the Bible that you don't understand  until you have learned certain other things first. That's why we tell all young people and teenagers to study the book of Proverbs! The first thing you need to do is get your mind focused in the right direction, that you know:

  • right and wrong
  • good from evil
  • righteousness from wickedness

So that you understand that just the human nature alone is not going to profit you in anything good in the long run if you're fighting against God!

You will receive something else; not from God, but from Satan the devil! That's what's happened to our young folks. Think about the idiots that TikTok is producing. A generation of idiots!

"…but the Spirit that is of God so that we might know the things graciously given to us by God; which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom…" (vs 12-13).

You can have a hundred PhDs and you're ignorant. You can be a high school graduate and if you love God and keep His commandments, are baptized and receive His Holy Spirit, you know more than the person who has a hundred PhDs. His wisdom is all the wisdom of the world and Satan the devil. But God has given us His wisdom! His understanding!

"…but in words taught by the Holy Spirit in order to communicate spiritual things by spiritual means. But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God; for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them because they are spiritually discerned" (vs 13-14).

That's quite a statement! The only thing that removes that is repentance and baptism, then you have the circumcision of the mind. Then with God's Spirit in your mind you begin to understand things step-by-step.

The First Passover!

It tells us in Gal. 3 that if we are Christ's we are Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise!

Gen. 15 is something that I did not understand until I had to start writing The Christian Passover book. I think I understood some of it. Let's look at it, because here is the very beginning of everything that we're going to do starting with the Passover.

Genesis 15:3: "And Abram said, 'Behold, You have given no seed to me; and lo, one born in my house is my heir.'" That was the law!

When this was given, Abram was 85-years-old. I don't know how long that Sarah and Abraham were married, and I don't know how many times they tried to have children and couldn't, which back then was a great disgrace if you didn't.

Verse 4: "And behold, the Word of the LORD came to him saying, 'This man shall not be your heir; but he that shall come forth out of your own loins shall be your heir.'"

That's quite a promise at age 85! Of course, they lived longer than we do today, which at 85 you can talk about being dead reproductively, that is a true statement.

Verse 5: "And He [God] brought him [Abram] outside and said… [notice what He said] …'Look now toward the heavens and number the stars—if you are able to count them.'…."

Back then there was no smog! Since this was going to be the night of the Passover, the moon was nearly full. You can check it out this year. Right after Passover you go outside and look at where the moon is, and it's almost full. Go out the next night and you have a full moon. That's because the Calculated Hebrew Calendar is the most accurate way of keeping time. That's what God uses!

"…And He said to him, 'So shall your seed be'" (v 5). Think about that! Starting from zero!

Let's look at Abram's calling; here's what he had to give up. You look at what you had to give up, because of you're having to be baptized. Remember, whatever you gave up is nothing compared to what God is going to give you!

Genesis 12:1: "And the LORD said to Abram, 'Get out of your country, and from your kindred, and from your father's house into a land that I will show you. And I will make of you a great nation. And I will bless you and make your name great…." (vs 1-2).

  • How great is the name of Abraham coming down to our day?
  • How great will his name be at the resurrection?

God doesn't think in terms like we do! He thinks in terms of way beyond!

"…And you shall be a blessing. And I will bless those that bless you and curse the one who curses you. And in you shall all families of the earth be blessed" (vs 2-3).

You can't understand what that means until you know about the Truth about the resurrections. So, when God said that all the families of the earth shall be blessed that promise strings clear out through all human history—past, present, future—Millennium, second resurrection, and entering into the Kingdom of God. This one verse!

When you go out and look at the heavens, I suggest that anyone who is down, discouraged or you don't know how you're going to come out of your predicament, go on the websites of the Hubble telescope or the James Webb telescope and look at the pictures of the universe. Even Abraham couldn't see it like you can see it there.

Think about what God has done and that he has purpose for the whole universe. Think about that you've been called to partake of that. That is an amazing thing!

Genesis 15:6: "And he believed in the LORD…."

When do you see the stars? At noon? NO! You see them at night! So, here's one day. When does the day begin? At sunset! This is after the beginning of the day. We will see that there's a two-day sequence, and we have seen that there's a two-day sequence in the book of Exodus for the exodus of the children of Israel coming our of Egypt—the Passover and the first day of Unleavened Bread! This is the first of it right here; this is on the Passover Day because it says in Exo. 12 that 'It came to pass on the self same day 430 years later the children of Israel left with a high hand."

I asked Michael Heiss how the Jews interpreted that, and he said they don't! same way with Isa. 9:6 the prophecy of the Messiah. How do they understand that? They don't! Amazing! They have all this complicated religion, and so do the Catholics and Protestants, who have no understanding because they're unwilling to keep the Sabbath and Holy Days; unwilling to believe God! They only believe what they want to believe. So, he believed in the Lord:

"…And He [God] accounted it to him for righteousness" (v 6).

It doesn't tell us, but apparently Abraham went in and slept that night. Or maybe he couldn't sleep that night, who knows. After being told that, here you are—however long they have been married and trying to have children, no children—God comes and says you look at the heavens and if you're able to count the stars that's how your seed is going to be. I don't think he was able to sleep much that night.

Verse 7: "And He said to him, 'I am the LORD that brought you out of Ur of the Chaldees, to give you this land to inherit it.'"

He walked over this land, covered all of that land and he never owned it. Then you read in Rom. 4 that he understood that he was going to be heir of the world! A later revelation of Truth of how great God's Word is! Think about that!

Verse 8: "And he said, 'Lord GOD… [probably in the morning] …by what shall I know that I shall inherit it?' And He said to him, 'Take Me a heifer of three years old, and a she-goat of three years old, and a ram of three years old, and a turtledove, and a young pigeon.' And he took all these to himself, and divided them in the middle … [cut them down the spine] …and laid each piece opposite the other… [made a little path between the two of them] …but he did not divide the birds" (vs 8-10).

I don't know how long it took him to do that. I don't know if he had an extra sharp axe that he could cut down through the spine. But that's a pretty good amount of work. There they were laid out there: the blood, guts and gore. That's kind of like looking at the whole history of mankind.

I got a book called Langer's Encyclopedia of History and it's just one war after coups after kingship after conquering, enslavement after another down through the whole history of the world. Stop and think about how man wars we have experienced just ourselves in our lifetime. Not that we were out there fighting it, but at my age there's WWII, Korean War, Vietnam War, two Iraq Wars, Afghanistan War, and now the war from the invasion from our southern border, the war in the Ukraine, the war in Uzbekistan, the war in Ethiopia, which fulfills the Word of God that says 'you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars.'

Is the Word of God true or not? Yes! So, here we are with Abraham. Let's see that there's a flow of time here:

Verse 11: "And when the birds of prey came down upon the carcasses…"

The vultures and ravens, and you can see this on any documentary of Africa and what happens. I tell you, those vultures can get in there and they can clean out a carcass like you would never believe. They are the ugliest looking things that you would ever want to see. But what a purpose God has in cleaning up dead carcasses on the ground. "…Abram drove them away" (v 11).

Remember when the day ends, sunset! We're going to see that the timing of this is precisely the timing defined in the New Testament, the sixth hour when Jesus died. You wouldn't know it by reading here. Look at all that had to take place and all that had to transpire to get up to the point of the life and death of Jesus Christ in order to understand the timing of when this took place connecting with His death. See how great God's Spirit is!

Verse 12: "And it came to pass, as the sun was going down, that a deep sleep fell upon Abram…." What does that signify? That was a type of death! God wanted him to experience that.

"…And, behold, a horror of great darkness fell upon him!" (v 12). God wanted him to have a prophetic experience of the coming Savior!

Verse 13: "And He said to Abram, 'You must surely know that your seed shall be sojourners in a land that is not theirs (and shall serve them and they shall afflict them) four hundred years. … [that's why you need to look at the chart] …And also I will judge that nation whom they shall serve. And afterward they shall come out with great substance'" (vs 13-14).

One verse about everything that happened in the book of Exodus concerning the children of Israel and what happened in the plagues, the thing with the Passover and how God saved the children of Israel. One verse! Look at all the verses that explain all the details about it.

Then you come forward to the New Testament times and about the time when Jesus was to be crucified and you have all the details about those days and everything leading up to it. We've got in A Harmony of the Gospels The Last Ten Days of Jesus' Life all laid out day-by-day, verse-by-verse.

  • Did that happen exactly as He said to Israel?
  • Did they leave with great substance?
  • Yes!

Verse 15: "'And you shall go to your fathers in peace. You shall be buried in a good old age. But in the fourth generation they shall come here again, for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full.' And it came to pass—when the sun went down…" (vs 15-17).

What did that do? That ended the day! That ended the 14th! We know that it's the 14th from Exo. 12. when it went down that began the 15th day.

"…and it was dark—behold, a smoking furnace and a burning lamp passed between those pieces. In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying…" (vs 17-18).

When God makes a covenant… Remember, we're keeping the Passover, which is the New Covenant. God has made a covenant with us! I will give you eternal life if you love Me and obey Me and you believe in Jesus Christ as your personal Savior! That's the start! He wants us to grow in grace and knowledge!

"…'I have given this land to your seed, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates…'" (v 18)—then lists all the Canaanites and so forth!

What happened when God passed between the pieces? God walked between them! Notice that Abraham did not, because this was a unilateral promise by God. Abraham's part did not come until Gen. 22 when he offered Isaac, but God spared him.

For the physical nations that began when Abraham was 99-years-old with circumcision. That was 14 years later. God doesn't do everything all at once. Can you imagine the surprise of Abraham when he's resurrected and on the Sea of Glass and God tells him everything that has happened? Then He tells him to come over here to the edge of Sea of Glass and says:

You look down there, this group of armies over here are you descendants, this group of armies over there are your descendants.

Isn't that going to be something?

He walked between them, and it doesn't tell us, but since god did it, since it was a smoking furnace… What happens when something is in a furnace? It burns up! The light that passed through it showed God walking through it. And behind it everything burned up! So, when Abraham awoke from his sleep and looked, 'Where's the sacrifice?' I suppose, I don't know for sure, but I can be fairly sure that it was nothing but ashes.

Why? Because all sacrifices like that had to be burned completely! Imagine the astonishment of Abraham when he awoke from that!

When I first got this paper—The Passover of the Bible and the Church Today—by Grabbe and Kuhn, this assault against the Church of God and the Passover, and you will see all my notes that I wrote on it. They were telling us that the Jews' practice was that they sacrificed the lambs at the temple late in the afternoon of the 14th.

Whereas, when you read the book of Exodus, chapter 12, they kept the Passover as it was getting dark at the beginning of the 14th. So, the question became in my mind: If I cannot find a place in the Scriptures where God has used sunset—'ba erev'—in connection with 'ben ha arbayim' (between the two evenings) and if I cannot find in the Bible that there's a difference between sunset and twilight or 'evening' (KJV). I found it in Exo. 16, which is properly translated in The Faithful Version. We can document the time by the Calculated Hebrew Calendar that the 15th day of the 2nd month was a Sabbath. The children of Israel were saying, 'Moses, we're hungry, what are we going to eat?' Moses had to tell them:

Don't come to me, you're not complaining to me, you're complaining to God.

Exodus 16:4: "Then the LORD said to Moses, 'Behold, I will rain bread from the heavens for you. And the people shall go out and gather a certain amount every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in My Law or not. And it shall come to pass on the sixth day, they shall prepare what they bring in. And it shall be twice as much as they gather day by day'" (vs 4-5).

Verse 6: "And Moses and Aaron said to all the children of Israel, 'At sunset…'"—evening, 'ba erev' and the Schocken Bible has it correct; I didn't know that until two years after I wrote the Passover book.

"' …then you shall know that the LORD has brought you out from the land of Egypt. And at sunrise…'" (vs 6-7).

What does sunset do? It ends the day! If this was the Sabbath Day—which it was—what does that do? That ends the Sabbath! It says in Lev. 23:32 that you shall observe your Sabbath from sunset to sunset! From the 9th day of the month at sunset begins the 10th day. Atonement is the 10th day of the month. The reason that God gave that that way was it's so important that everybody do it exactly correctly on Atonement, because if not you would be cutoff from the people.

Verse 6: "…'At sunset, then you shall know that the LORD has brought you out from the land of Egypt. And at sunrise you shall see the glory of the LORD…'" (vs 6-7)—the beginning of the day portion of the first day of the week!

He said how many days you shall gather? Six days! That's the morning of the first day!

"…for He hears your murmurings against the LORD. And what are we that you murmur against us?' And Moses said, 'You will see when the LORD shall give you flesh to eat at sunset…'" (vs 7-8).

  • What did God do? He sent quail!
  • What did God tell them about the Sabbath? Don't go look for manna because you won't find any!
  • What happened? People went out looking for manna on the Sabbath!

God called Moses and said, 'How long do these people refuse to keep My laws?' Right there in the presence of God! They went out and did what God said not to do. 'I've heard your murmurings!' What are we?

Verse 8: "And Moses said, 'You will see when the LORD shall give you flesh to eat at sunset…'"

There's one man who said that God had mercy and sent it in the afternoon of the Sabbath so they could clean it and all of that. That's God making them break the Sabbath, if that's the fact! But this gives a time sequence.

"…the LORD shall give you flesh to eat at sunset and bread to the full at sunrise…"  (v 8). So, Moses spoke to them!

We just read that God is going to send it at sunset. This is important!

Verse 12: "I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel. Speak to them, saying, 'Between the two evenings… ['ben ha arbayim'] …you shall eat flesh…'"

If the quail were sent at sunset, what was the sun doing while they were gathering? He dropped it right on the encampment. He didn't put it round about. It was right on the encampment. All they had to do is reach up and grab it, wring its neck, skin them out and put them on the fire and you could eat those little quail breasts in about 20 minutes.

What's happened to the sun? It went down ending the day! Here come all the quail and they had to take them off the tops of the tents, pick them up off the ground and prepare them. Then it's getting darker. All the time it's getting darker and later.

So, between the two evenings—between sunset and dark—you shall eat the flesh, but you can't eat it before it comes! Can't be the afternoon of the Sabbath otherwise God would break His Sabbath. What did He tell them about the manna and the Sabbath Day? Don't go out and look for it, because y ou won't find any!

God kept His own Law! Here we have a sequence of two days: the Sabbath, and the next day here came the quail! They ate it between the two evenings!

What does this prove? That 'ben ha arbayim' does not come before sunset! They didn't eat any of the quail before they came. That's a great truth in understanding the setting of this!
